Work to begin on SW 27th Avenue this month
Notices started going out from the County, regarding the Public Works project on 27th Avenue. Starting this month and ending in March 2012, the renovation project will proceed. Work will be performed Monday through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm, no work will be done on weekends.
The job includes widenting the existing road from two t three lanes with on-street parking. Bike lanes and sidewalks will be installed along with curbs and gutters. New storm drains will also be added, along with new lighting.
Traffic will continue in both directions during the daily work schedule.
As you know the Center Grove streetscape will change, too. Starting in July. So for the next couple of years, the Grove is going to be an interesting and dusty place to navigate, but hopefully, it will all be worth it in the end.
