Halloween and new Council member on agenda
The Village Council meets at the Sailing Club tomorrow night, April 16, from 7 to 9 pm.
There are two things on the agenda:
The Halloween discussion, where the Council will ask neighbors and businesses to speak on whether Halloween in Coconut Grove should be reined in and controlled. Many feel that it is getting out of hand, but there really is no actual event, people just show up, so that may a tricky situation.
While neighbors don't like the high volume traffic and noise, business owners feel that this is one of the few days of the year when they make a profit.
This should get interesting.
Also interesting will be the choice of a new Council Member to replace Felice Dubin, who stepped down from the Council last month. Those interested will come before the Council and a committee will choose who will become the new Village Council member.
