Cars and Cigars is the Father's Day theme
Sunday, June 19, is Father's Day and the Grove has something special planned. It's called, "Cars and Cigars." Classic cars and cigar rollers will be strewn around the Grove -- most will be in The Barnacle (3485 Main Highway).
Bring a picnic or buy burgers, hot dogs, veggie dogs and chips and soft drinks or eat at any of the Grove's restaurants.
Cool 'Ol Dudes will play live from noon to 3:45 at The Barnacle, where kids can make gifts for Dad on site. And as you stroll around the Grove, please vote for your favorite classic car. Pick, up the ballots at the cars. The winner will be announced at 4 pm.
A shiney coconut trophy is being made as we speak, this is what the winner will receive, along with a whole lot of Grove Bucks to spend around the village.
The first 75 families with fathers get free admission. After that families with fathers get in for half price ($1 each); half-price is a state-wide offer at all Florida State Parks.
People without their father still pay the normal $2 per person.
