Mayfair Antique Market is open all summer

For those of you missing the Lincoln Road Antique Market, which is gone for the summer, have no fear. Tony and Lou have the market open in Coconut Grove. The Mayfair Antique Market has all your favorite dealers in air conditioned splendor. They are open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm and later on Saturday Gallery Walk nights!


John has his thousands of cuff links and Frank has his funky furniture, Niki has all her gently worn Gucci, Pucci and Fiorucci and Angela has lots of collectibles, so does Charlotte and the rest of the dealers. Leigh may be in the house with her old world antiques and Mike may play you a tune or two on the piano, he's great with tv jingles and theme songs. Every time I walk in the door he plays that "Elly Mae" music, you know, the song they play on the Beverly Hillbillies when Elly Mae enters the room or comes down the stairs. Why? I'm not sure, I think I asked him to.


Remember all those old toys and things your Mom threw out? They have them at the Mayfair Antique Market. A walk through the place brings you back to your childhood.


There are a bunch of new tents outside too, on the Mayfair Promenade, ask Andre for a great deal on his vintage silver! And with Father's Day coming up, this may just be the place to get Dad the perfect gift.


We wrote in the past of how the place has the feel of the British tv sitcom, Are You Being Served? and it still does! It's worth a visit for the character and the characters. Another interesting tv and movie related thing is that Niki Simon Blacker sells a lot of her clothing and accessories to Hollywood stylists. She has provided many items to Sex and the City, Burn Notice and is currently dressing Katherine Zeta Jones for the movie Rock of Ages, which is now filming in South Florida. This is the movie that stars Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin.
