Latest update on the food trucks
I asked District 2 Commissioner Marc Sarnoff what his take is on all this, his reply was, "The issue of food trucks is a citywide issue that in some cases has put the interests of hard-working truck owners at odds with equally well-meaning residents and business owners. Just like every other tax-paying business in the city, food trucks needed to follow a set of guidelines and these that the city recently issued are based on rules that existed well before the food truck phenomenon became as popular as it is today. They're a start. Now, we can sit down with all parties and figure out what works for everyone. I encourage the food truck owners to organize and have their representatives contact my office and city manager's office."
So this is a good start.
