Lauren's Light concert raises $ for cancer causes

The Lauren's Light Concert for Cancer was held last night at the Mayfair complex.
Malvina and Ben Feinswog run the charity, named after their late daughter Lauren. Their mission is to empower families with young children, in which a parent has been diagnosed with cancer, through resources and information, to better address medical, psychological and administrative challenges.

Featured performer was award winning singer, songwriter Ellen Bukstel, shown at left. At right: Anthony Askowitz, Board Member with Lisa Askowitz.

Harris Mones and Ruby Alonzo, left, were the winning bidders of the luxurious Mediterranean cruise donate by Azamara Club Cruises. Other prizes included a Mayfair Hotel and Spa stay, Fontainebleau Hotel stay, the restaurant Town in South Miami donated two hours of open bar for eight people (bidding starting at $50.00, now that a good night out) and a photo session by CLA Photography. Claudia Gomberg, CLA Photography donated a photography session worth over $340.00. She is a Miami Photographer who is local to the Grove, her work can be seen here. That's my little friend Jordyn who is shown in the photo on the table.
