Come out for lots of art, music and culture

Tomorrow night, February 5, is Gallery Walk Night in Coconut Grove and as usual there is a lot of art to see. All the village galleries are open from 7 to 10 pm with lots of wine, music, food and art.

Blu Moon Studio will be presenting the romantic art of Oswaldo Franco, left, as part of their "bright and beautiful month of February" exhibit.

Stop in for some refreshments and enjoy the new art on display.

Blu Moon is at 3444 Main Highway at the very top floor, and on your way up, enjoy the Coconut Grove Drum Circle, right at the foot of the stairs, starting at 8 pm. Enjoy the healing joy of drumming, sit in with the group and drum!

At the George Rodez Gallery at CocoWalk, the theme is "Personalities II: a continued Exploration of the relationship between emotional states and art." It's a solo exhibit of George's colorful art. George is also in this year's Coconut Grove Arts Festival, look for his booth (#326) on South Bayshore Drive. And stop by the gallery tomorrow night for refreshments. The gallery is on the second floor at CocoWalk next to The Burgundy Room.

The Academy of Arts and Minds is have an inaugural exhibition of photographic works by A&M students. Stop by the school at 3138 Commodore Plaza to enjoy the students' exhibit.

At ArtWay66 at the Mayfair Promenade, the theme is “Love is Everywhere.” Presenting artists include Lea Alcantara, Johnny Valdes, Proman Garcia, Marlenes Gasiba, Luis Breso, Kurt Merkel, Arien Lopez, Haydee Pichardo, Candace Chloe, Joseph Lawrence Vasile, Trina Colins, Brent Miller, Alexander Calderon,Yampier Sardina and jewelry designer Steven Anton Rahage.

There is a special live music presentation by Sunday Quorum and Serena Stroppa and live poetry by Ariel Sakowitz . Enjoy an open bar and tapas, all night long. Ask for your $50 toward the purchase of an art work at the gallery.

The Mayfair Promenade is always full of music and art. And The GroveHouse is celebrating their 6th anniversary across from ArtWay66, at the Promenade.

Here is a map and list of all the galleries, it looks like Nomade is on the map still, but I am told that they closed. Which is a shame, they always had such nice exhibits there.
