He's raising football team's $$$ through marathon

My friend, Javier Gonzalez, a local realtor, is running the ING Marathon on January 30. Many of you probably have seen Javier running through the Grove daily, he is usually with fellow realtor and friend, Riley Smith. Last month, my car stalled right on Main Highway and these two who happened to be running by at the time, swooped over like Superman and Spider-man to help me out.

Well, now Javier, shown here, wants to help out the championship Coconut Grove Knight Riders Pee Wee football team. You may remember them from
this story.

As you know, they won it all at the Pop Warner National Championship playoffs at the ESPN World Series Sports complex in Orlando. The really amazing thing was the effort they had to put in to get there, they not only worked their tails off to become the best at what they do, but they had a long, hard struggle to afford to even attend the games. It might have never happened.

Here is where Javier comes in. He is accepting donations for the team through his ING marathon run. He is asking you to donate $20 in the hopes that he finishes the marathon in four hours or less. All money received will go to Youth Empowerment Social Services who will handle it for the Knight Riders.
