Gala raises over $60,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs

Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade recently hosted its Fourth Annual Gala, featuring a “Wild About Kids” theme at The Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove. The organization raised more than $63,000 and honored Tennis Pro Anna Kournikova for her dedication to the children who attend the clubs and her financial support to the organization during the past five years. The gala was co-chaired by Lana DeSimone and Marilyn Cale. The event was emceed by Emmy Award winning, WSVN anchor Lynn Martinez. The gala was represented by artwork created by world-renowned Cuban artist Emilio Sauma.

The evening began with a cocktail reception, a silent auction followed by dinner, live music by the band Private Stock and a special performance by the children from Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. Guests had the opportunity to sponsor a child through $250 donations, with all proceeds benefiting the five clubs in the Miami-Dade area.
