SW 27 Avenue project topic of tonight's discussion
Phase one of the SW 27 Avenue renovation will be discussed at a community meeting tonight, November 8, from 6:30 to 8 pm at City Hall (3500 Pan American Drive).
Plans and drawings will be available for the public to see. The first phase goes along SW 27 Avenue from S. Bayshore Drive to Tigertail Avenue and SW 28 Terrace to US1. The project consists of reconstructing the existing two lane roadway to include raised landscaped medians, bicycle lanes, on street parking, sidewalks, curbs and gutters. Also continuous storm drains, new traffic signals, pavement markings and signage. Decorative roadway lighting will also be installed.
