Pink Gala raises $$$ for Cancer research
Last night, the Mayfair Hotel hosted the Fourth Annual Pink Gala at the rooftop pool and cabanas. Sherri Martens-Cortez organized the event in honor of her mother, Linda Martens, who lost her courageous battle with breast cancer in the fall of 2006.

Live music, belly dancers, a pink fashion show and a high-end raffle were part of the gala evening in the cool, breezy air. The Pink Gala raised close to $250,000 in the last three years, of which 100 percent of the proceeds went to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Susan G. Komen for the Cure Affiliate.
