An afternoon of culture envelopes the cool fall days
Looks like a new trend is starting on Gallery Walk days, the music is starting early. The Windisch-Hunt Gallery held the Peace Flags Concert and at the same time, the Miami Conservatory of Music had classical music performances right outside their school, beside the water fountain.
Amidst the cool air and late autum light, many enjoyed classical music by Bach, Cervantes, Piazolla, Villa-Lobos and others, performed by conservatory students.
It was an enjoyable afternoon in a quiet corner of the Grove. The performances went on well into the night as the Promenade filled up with art lovers who came out to stroll around the village for Gallery Walk night.
The students are excellent and the audience enjoyed and appreciated it all.
These classical and jazz performances add a lot to the quality of life in the area and it's nice to see so many people out enjoying the free concerts and art.
As the holidays draw near, there will be more music around the village. It's a great way to spend a fall and winter afternoon -- with lots of culture right in our little town.
