"Pirates Gold" book promoted at bookstore

Author Evelyn Uslar-Pietri signed her new book, "Pirates Gold - Treasure to Die For" at The Bookstore yesterday afternoon. Quite a nice crowd showed up for the 3:00 event. Pirates Gold follows Captain Johnny B. Wilde and his motley crew who sail the islands of Vasquez searching for treasure. The 316 page book offers a bit of Harry Potter's style in that it also offers monsters, evil wizards and enchanting nymphs. Signed copies are available at the Bookstore.

Oddly enough, art was for sale as well, at the author's signing table.

As we entered the Bookstore, Rober Alter, dressed as a pirate, greeted us. We thought at first he was promoting the Halloween shop across the street, but it was for the pirates book signing.

Some Bookstore news: Dylan, the morning guy at the cafe in the Bookstore is moving on, he has another job on Brickell. Avesta and Andres will be taking over the early shift.
