Lights, camera, history . . .
Every time we write about Fabulocity, the antique/jewelry store at the Mayfair Promenade, all the other media come out of the woodwork for a story. I can't say I blame them, Fabulocity should be a museum, not a store. The items that Helen and Vince carry are show pieces and part of Americana.
If you're out for the Gallery Walk tonight, be sure to stop in and check out this old 1920s movie projector. It is only one of two in the world, the other is in Hollywood, California. It's right at the entrance to the store. It is huge, taller and wider than you and me. It's called "Supersond" projection equipment. Imagine all the Charlie Chaplin and Clara Bow movies shown on this thing, back in the day when they were just released!
A famous actor is interested in this piece of history, so check it out before its gone. We told you about the 1949 Wurlitzer jukebox, well here it is below. There is so much movie memorabilia and items from America history at Fabulocity. It's a trip worth making. They are right across form the Improv at the Mayfair Promenade in Coconut Grove.
