It's an exciting night of art and live music

gallery-walk
Tonight, September 4, the Coconut Grove Gallery Walk is back. The Grove should be awash in people for this Labor Day weekend, with tomorrow being the Bed Race and tonight, along with all the galleries presenting food, drink and art, the Pajama Pub Crawl is on, so lots of people will be strolling our streets.

The outdoor stroll at the Mayfair Promenade, brought to us by Johnny Valdes, will feature artists along with music, food and drinks. Special this month, all performing free, will be "The House of Flying Cards" Magicians (all night), the Coconut Grove Ballet (7 to 8 pm) and Stroppa, an expressive pop/folk/rock, singer/songwriter (8:30 to 9 pm). A special show by young artists from the Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale will be there from 9:30 to 9:45 pm. And from 8 to 11 pm, Different Faces, one of Miami's premier party bands will be jamming the Promenade live.

Also, at the Promenade is the Antique Market, the GroveHouse Artists, Out of Africa and the new Fabulocity. Check out the 1949 Wurlitzer jukebox, just delivered yesterday to Fabulocity, it's an art deco gem. It lights up and even has the old 78's still inside. Next door, at the atrium (near the bull), is the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery. And then the rest of the galleries go up Grand Avenue, around to Main Highway and down along Commodore Plaza.

Starting at 8 pm, there is a drum circle at the plaza by the Blu Moon Gallery, join in, there are drums available or bring your own!

The Galleries in the Gallery Walk include:
Blu Moon - 3444 Main Highway (way upstairs)
Coconut Grove Arts Festival - 3390 Mary Street, suite 128
