"Eklekticity" is the new exhibit at Rodez Gallery
In anticipation of this month's Gallery Walk (Saturday, August 7), the Rodez.com Gallery at CocoWalk is presenting "Eklekticity," a collective exhibition of eight Latin American, mid-career artists. These are the diverse works of Cheno, Vicente, Carlos Gamez de Francisco, Daniel Garcia, Lidia Godoi, Israel Guevara, George Rodez and Anna Maria Sarlat, artists from Mexico, South America, Cuba and the US.
The installation is described as "an intensive presentation of personal journeys within a dramatic visual dialogue without reference to their native culture." The artists all express their independent voices in abstract, conceptual realism and surreal landscapes. These artists have contributed to the Latin American art movement by thinking outside the box, they have influenced mainstream popular culture, they will be on hand for you to meet during the Gallery Walk from 7 to 10 pm on August 7.
Stop in for a drink, a snack and mostly for the art.
The works will be in the Rodez Gallery through the end of the month, the gallery hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11 am to 7 pm and Friday and Saturday, 11 am to 10 pm. Stop in, come see why the Grove is back.
