Dharma Studio features local artists for one night
You've probably seen Margrit Rose People around town, walking her dog, you can't miss her striking style and poofy red hair. As many of you know, she's an artist.
She's shy and humble, but her art is bold and out there. Really beautiful, with lots of detail and color. She was one of the featured artists this month at the Dharma Studio on Commodore Plaza.
The Dharma Studio used to be an art gallery and full time now they are a yoga studio, and they return to their art roots the first Saturday of each Month for the Gallery Walk. Lori and Natalie, who run the place have an incredible eye for art, they always manage to have incredible artists and pieces each first Saturday.
We do have one complaint though, and that is that the art is only up for the one Saturday each month. Obviously they don't want it damaged during yoga classes, so it is removed after the Gallery Walk, which is a shame since the art deserves to have more viewers. The Dharma Studio works so well as a yoga studio and art studio, it's a great space.
At center is artist Ruth Kane, showing off her art to friends, Aleta Pratt and Tiffany Field.
