Burn Notice's lease is up for renewal
Burn Notice's lease at the Expo Center is up in October, so far $180,000 has been brought in from rent, which goes into a fund for the Parks Master Plan.
Tomorrow, July 22, the City Commission will vote on whether to renew the lease for another year. As you know, most, if not all of the Burn Notice indoor sets are inside the Expo Center, that includes Michael's loft and Madeline's house (even part of the exterior is inside the Expo Center). Also, other sets like Carlito's, the restaurant, and the exterior of Michael's loft are outside the Expo Center and used for weekly filming.
The Waterfront Implementation Committee met last week, they are in agreement that the lease should be extended and they would like to be sure that the rent continues to go into the Master Plan fund.
