Mad Men Monday at the Mayfair kicks off tonight

Mad Men Monday kicks off tonight, June 28, as a Chamber Networker. Last week Willie Vega and Liliana Dones tried some drinks in preparation for tonight. It's tough being a Chamber member and having to try drinks (for quality control) but they did it for the team.

The theme at Mad Men Mondays is 1960s. The music and the drinks of that era are featured and the tv show Mad Men is playing in the background.

It's a lot of fun, and you don't have to be a fan of the show or dress up in '60s garb, you have to be just a fan of 1960s cocktails and music and of course the camaraderie of friends in the slinky dark Lobby Bar at the Mayfair Hotel (3000 Florida Avenue).

This would be a great opportunity for many of you who are interested in getting into the mix of the Grove. Come out, meet new people, start helping move and shake the Grove. It's a comfortable, fun atmosphere with lots of laughs and you'll feel totally welcome.

Slink in through the side door on Virginia Street and enjoy drinks and snacks. There never is an entrance free for Mad Men Mondays, but this week there is a $5 fee for the networker, that's for Chamber members and for those are are not members, it's only $10 and that includes a free welcome drink and canapes.

All Classic 1960s drinks are only $3.50 after that and they are twice the size of the originals! Think Tom Collins, Harvey Wallbanger, Screwdrivers, etc.

And if you are so inclined, stay for a Mad Men pre fix dinner, only $21.00 for three courses.

Original July 4th t-shirts and posters will be available tonight. Shirts are $15 and posters $10.
