Is it job security?
There's this guy who works for one of the Grove hotels, he cleans up the grounds daily. His job is to pick up papers and trash that are on the ground.
Every day, as he leaves work, he passes the same spot on Grand Avenue, and he throws a piece of paper under a car parked at the curb. Different cars, same spot. Every day.
Is it a case of job security? Maybe he's superstitious. I don't ask him why he does it because it's just one of those things that are just too interesting to ruin by knowing the real reason behind the neurosis.
