Mangoheads celebrate another successful year

strut1
It started out slow but soon, the Mangoheads took over the first floor of The Ivy yesterday to celebrate the King Mango Strut Wrap party. The crowd spilled out onto the sidewalk and by 6 pm, it was impassable.

At left: Heather Wulkan, Vickie Matthews and Jack King. Vickie, from Chicago, is a race official with the Miami OCR Reggata. At right: Karen Scott and Liz Gibson.

The Albert Castiglia band played a lot of old time rock and roll and lots of Mangoheads danced. The Ivy was the perfect setting. On one end of the first floor, a slide show of the parade continuously played.

Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and free Mango Mimosas were available, but most enjoyed the super low happy hour prices on beer, wine and liquor.

Good to see the party in the Grove & not in Coral Gables, like in the past. Looks like a FUN time!!! Sorry I missed it :(
