Homemade breakfast like Mom used to make
We were talking about Best Kept Secrets in Coconut Grove. Here's another: Chicago's Deli (3120 Commodore Plaza) has fabulous breakfasts starting at only $3.99.
Phyllis usually arrives by 9 am, but it may end up being 10 am, so if you are willing to stop in for a late breakfast or brunch, they offer $3.99, $4.99 and $5.50 breakfasts (including coffee). Build your own Omelet is only $5.50 -- you can have anything you want in it, no limit. Want mushrooms and ham? Done. Bacon and cheese and onions and mushrooms? Done.
If it's not on the menu, ask for it. They'll do it! Phyllis will make you feel like you are at home.
She will make it all from scratch, including the bread, croissants and fixin's. They also offer curbside service. In order to avoid paying for parking, call the order in: 305-774-9981, and pick it up at the curb.
Many of you have been calling the steakhouse number next door at odd hours and not getting a response, use the number above, the Deli number, and you'll get results.

Is that curbside service available for lunch, too? What a fabulous idea.
I've had breakfast there twice and it was good. Love the potatoes that come with the eggs. What I like best is that it feels like an old hotel dining room with upholster chairs. Now that is civilized!
Reading the New York Times at a big table with comfortable chairs.
Yes, curb service for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I had a good breakfast the other day at the Bistro place next to Flanigan's and real cheap too.
I am going to try this place out tomorrow. Great tip!
