High energy crowd enjoyed poster unveiling
Last night, hundreds showed up for the unveiling of this year's Coconut Grove Arts Festival poster art. It was a beautiful painting by Maria Reyes-Jones, called "Heart of the Grove." At left are Monty Trainer, Festival head honcho, and Maria, at the moment of unveiling, which was carried live on NBC6 tv news. There was a nice energy in the room, all positive, as someone described it to me.
At right are Alexis and Pam Epstein and Ken Drodvillo. Pam is social events coordinator with the Miami Ski Club. Their next event is at The Ivy on January 26.
Carlo Chialastri, Alex Tejero and Evan Qarano stopped by for the great drinks and stir fry, prepared right on the spot, at the Sonesta Hotel. (Alex, I have a funnier version of this photo, email me for that).
Cindi Bettner and Cricket Solis enjoyed the mixing and mingling of art lovers, there were lots of Grove faces in the crowd, but most of the crowd consisted of new faces, which was nice. At right are Kevin Hung and Alexis Epstein.
The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is February 13 through 15 this year. Look for this image on the poster, t-shirts and other festival items.
