Collecting for Haiti relief in various ways
Also, the Grove Chamber is collecting items such as blankets, clothing, shoes, first aid kits and non perishable food. They are open weekdays from 10 am to 6 pm. They're in the Glass House, next to the NET office on McFarlane.
Also, CocoWalk, the Mutiny, the Arts Festival office and just about anywhere it seems, is collecting.
Hooters at CocoWalk is accepting monetary donations on behalf of the American Red Cross. Everyone who donates will be entered into a drawing to win 2 tickets to the Hooters Super Bowl Party on South Beach. The drawing will take place this Sunday night upon closing of the restaurant. You do not need to be present Sunday to win. Hooters corporate office will contact the winner.
Tomorrow, January 16, The Ivy at the Grove will be contributing 50% of all food sales to the Haitian Disaster Relief Fund. The Ivy menu, currently available at reduced pricing for Grove residents, will be full price on Saturday. Half of all sales will instead be given to aid relief efforts in Haiti. Additionally, Raffles PMC is liaising with the University of Miami School of Law to host an event benefiting Haiti on January 29. Details forthcoming.
