Local student recruited by NCAA cycling team

Coconut Grove native, Jordan Meyer-Massey, son of Melissa Sue Meyer and the late Thal Massey Jr. has received the Brevard College Leadership Scholarship and has been recruited by the Brevard College NCAA Champion Cycling Team in Brevard, N.C. Jordan is a home-school graduate and has served as the assistant to veterinary surgeon, Dr. David T. Wise at Knowles Animal Clinic for the past year and a half. Jordan will be in the Pre-Veterinary program and will also play piano in the school's Jazz Ensemble.

Jordan's mother, Melissa Sue Meyer, also attended Brevard College and was inducted into the Brevard College Hall of Fame in 2008. She is currently recruiting for the 2010-2011 Brevard College freshman class. High school seniors who are exceptional athletes, musicians, thespians, visual artists or scientists are encouraged to contact Melissa at

Sounds like an amazing opportunity. Brevard College Cycling was mentioned in this months issue of Sports Illustrated.
