Three art openings on one night
Nelsy Rivas, Richard Issa and Katherine Phillips enjoyed the art opening at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery last Thursday night. Nelsy has a peacock image on her forehead because she was on her way to the cancelled Masquerade at the Mutiny Hotel. She didn't know, but the event turned into an Ed King art unveiling.
The Peacock Tour is still a big event happening in the Spring. The big fiberglass peacocks are all still being adopted and matched up to charities and artists. For info on how you can be involved, please email Heather at heather@princemediadevelopment.com.
Here, Ed King shows off one of his pieces.
And this is the new piece called "The Enlightenment of Being" (36" x 18" - acrylic on canvas). The party was attended by 30 friends and fans. About 20 pieces we on display and the guests were treated to free posters signed by the artist. The new piece as well as the entire neo-pop art collection of originals is available online at www.edkingpopart.com
Over at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery, the place filled up with people interested in Haitian Art, mostly French speaking. Here is George S. Nader who's the owner of the art on display, with Fernando Francisco and Jerry Wade.
