mooring1
The Dinner Key Municipal Mooring Fields were open this morning, with a ribbon cutting ceremony behind City Hall. The Mayor and many dignitaries were in attendance. Along with the ribbon cutting, a check for $847,248.00 was donated by the Florida Inland Navigation District to fund part of the project.

The new 225 vessel facility now has new light buoys and navigational aids to help boaters navigate accessible waterways. The moorings can accommodate vessels up to forty feet.

Upland amenities at the existing facility that are available to City residents and visiting boaters include a Harbormaster’s Office and Customer Lounge; restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities; a dinghy dock with customer shuttle service is at the Seminole Boat Ramp; vehicle and bicycle parking; trash pickup and recycling.

Applications for moorings are taken on a first come, first served basis and can be completed online at
www.miami-marinas.com or in person at Dinner Key Marina. Only seaworthy vessels with the proper title and registration will be accepted.

25 percent of the moorings (55 spaces) will accommodate daily visiting vessels.
