Lots going on for Halloween in Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove's Halloween is going to be quite busy this year. Events are happening all over.

The Ivy at the Grove (3159 Commodore Plaza) is having a Coconut Grove Halloween Party on October 31, I met the owners Bill and Tim and they are very excited to be part of the Grove. They are offering the first 150 Grapevine readers who email them, one ticket to the party. Please RSVP to
Halloween@theivyatthegrove.com, and mention the Coconut Grove Grapevine.

The event will feature drink specials, appetizers and Halloween treats. A costume is not required, but encouraged. All attendees will receive a "thank you" gift for future use at The Ivy.

A portion of the night's proceeds will be donated to the local Coconut Grove Art Stroll.

CocoWalk will host an all Day Coconut Grove Halloween Event, along with the massive street party that overtakes the Center Grove around midnight every year.

From 2 to 6 pm Girl Scout Troup 118 and Paws 4 You Rescue will host a Children and Pet Halloween Party complete with costume contests (for kids and dogs), activities, trick-or-treating and more. So dress up the whole family (your dog too) for a safe day of Halloween fun.

Beginning at 7 pm Presidente and Presidente Light Beer are presenting the CocoWalk Halloween Bash. DJ Bill James and Performer Bryan Gonzalez will keep your hips rocking all night while you enjoy beer and drink specials throughout CocoWalk. Don’t miss the adult costume contest Halloween night. Prizes will be given for most creative male and female and best costume male and female.

Of course the whole street will be full of thousands of revelers which is always the case in Coconut Grove for Halloween. There is going to be a large thing for the kiddies at the Museum of Science. Details to come.

At the Mayfair Promenade, there will be a Thriller Night In the Grove party, benefitting Shake-A-Leg on Halloween night. Tickets will be $30 each. It's from 8:30 pm to 2:30 am. Ticket price includes open bar and entertainment.

Food will be sold. Sony Music is allowing the Micheal Jackson Thriller DVD to be featured and set up on large screens situated on the property. Guests are encouraged to dress like Zombies, $2,500.00 in cash and prizes for Thriller Costume contest will be awarded.

Tickets will go on sale soon at various locations around town. We'll announce it the day they become available.

Grape & Grove Businesses. Do you have anything specifically for the family and children. If so please inform the Grape with you address, the type of event and the hours of presentation.
