Shake-A-Leg has big plans
They are looking for volunteers now to help with the boat renovations. Their goal is to redo every boat in their fleet.
Professional Boat Builder magazine is involved as well, helping to make the place better for disadvantaged and handicapped people.

"Shake-A-Leg has received some sort of grants recently"
"They are looking for volunteers now to help with the boat renovations"
I sure hope the grants were not from the federal stimulus program!
Looking for volunteers would defeat the whole purpose of putting people back to work with stimulus spending.
That would be silly, and I am sure the government would not doing anything that stupid!
In my opinion, if someone from shake a leg contacts you for help or assistance you should consider donating. Why? I've sat next to a gentleman who has participated, I'm guessing, for about 20 years. He cares, he's committed and this gentleman is sincere in helping people who need to get outside and smell the fresh air and have some mobility. I trust this mans opinion and his committment.
A grant means money, Hire people to do work and are professionals in their field. Boats are not toys in the water. It is a safety issue. We are a boating community the talent is here. Lets see the trickle down effect in our community.
And don't forget 20% of all food and bev at Crazy Pianos this Sunday goes to Shake a leg! Come out and show your support!
