Outdoor movies are catching on
The free weekend movies at CocoWalk are catching on. People are enjoying the outdoor seating in the courtyard.
The large screen is right above the Coco Gelato, which looks like a little snack bar and with the cooler weather coming, it will be even more comfortable.
There is talk about sharing the outdoor movies with the Women's International Film Festival and their idea of showing movies out on Virginia Street.

Has Cocowalk thought about renting portable fans from Poe's for these events - might attract more people.
I'm glad you posted some photos! I'll definitely be there next weekend.
Are they going to continue? I wanted to attend the first weekend (Coraline) but couldn't, and well, this last weekend wasn't interesting at all.
I was under the impression it was going to be a two-week affair, though. Is it going to last a bit longer?
Only in Coconut Grove. You really have to Love the people here! PS Where is the popcorn?
Just a note on this, All the seats were filled by the time the film ended.
re: fans - the outdoor movies are expensive enough to put together without having to spend more on fans. The weather is cooling down anyway....
