I work in the industry and this is one of the hottest products right now along with Moroccan Oil. $150 is a great deal.
I had it done a few months back for $250! I loved it though. I'm definitely going to go by Allure for this special. $150 really does sound great.
If it is $150 it is a good price. I tried that keratin treatment at another salon. It cost about $300 plus then I had to buy the Coppola shampoo and conditioner that go with it ($25 each).
I do have to say that I hated it. I have a lot of hair so blow drying it was easy after the treatment except that it looked flat and lifeless. The bounce was gone. For now, I am sticking with my man, Frederic Fekkai. But I have friends that love the keratin, so I will Twitter about this and send the biz to Allure. I have to say I wish Israel would come back to the Grove. He is top notch and way too far South now.
Just FYI-You don't have to buy the expensive maintainence shampoos- the Loreal Everpure and the Organix lines have no sulfates and no salts, all for around $6 a bottle! And you can buy them right here at our local CVS and Walgreens! Money savings all around in the Grove!
I just got this Keartin treatment done at Allure. My hair feels fantastic. They did recommend that I use a sulfate-free shampoo, but they didn't push it down my throat. They had one for $23, one for $20, and another one for $15. I played it safe and bought the one for $23. We'll see how it works out. Nice salon and staff too.
Thanks I have tried the L'Oreal one for 6 bucks and it does do the job, but I really love FF, which you can get at Bath and Body works.
hey ot's kind of cool that in the middle of everything Grapevine now includes health and Grooming tips... another reason to nominate GV for Golden Coconut!
The treatment is definetly worth it. The only thing I'd recommend is getting a real satin pillowcase to protect the treatment, especially for the first 4 days. Found an organic one online from neero and ana. worked like a charm.
