Good idea to cancel events because of rain?
People did show up for the stroll and instead they found the GroveHouse Artists' opening, the Antique Market and the The Wedding Dress opening at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery, and this is all good, because there were a lot of disappointed people who did show up for the stroll.
I'm not sure what to think of it, I suppose I should put myself in their shoes, but I don't know if I would have called off the stroll because of the weather. I think it is important to keep the momentum going and cancelling just one stroll could affect the next one.
Perhaps in the future, if bad weather threatens, the stroll could be moved to the other side of Mayfair, where the bull sculpture is. At least this way, no matter what, the show can go on.

We're in the tropics during rainy season. The rain always happens, and it usually is sporadic. You always have to plan for it. It seems like there should always be somewhere under a roof or tent to have the art so rain wouldn't ruin it, and then go on with the show.
But umbrellas by the truck load and sell them at almost wholesale prices.....or Grape should get some Coconut Grove umbrellas.
