Full house for Captain's Meeting last night
No, this isn't a yoga class, it's the Captain's Meeing for this Sunday's Great Grove Bed Race.
Last night, everyone gathered at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery for a pep rally/brush up party to go over the rules and logistics. There are a lot.
Daisy Lewis and her crew have done an incredible job planning every little detail from what will happen in the pit crew area to the actual race timing and line up. And of course the Pajama Pub Crawl the night before (tomorrow, Saturday night) is part of the whole concept, too.
There are 44 beds signed up for the race, 42 will race, two will just be part of the judging for decoration, concept, etc. It's been said that this is nothing like the old bed race. It isn't. It's better! See you tomorrow night for the Pub Crawl (wear your jammies) and then of course see you Sunday for a full day of fun and events, starting at the Bookstore in the Grove for a children's Ford Motor Company Pajama Party and book reading starting at 11:30 am.
