Photographers take to the streets for photo contest
On Saturday night, dozens of photographers took to the streets of the Grove. They were part of Scott Kelby's Second Annual Worldwide PhotoWalk. Above are Sheen, Dan, Elena, Michael (leader of the Grove Group) and Tatiana.
This is a worldwide thing, Coconut Grove was chosen as one of the places in Florida for the contest. It started at 6 pm at The Barnacle and ended at 8:30. In that time period the photographers were to take their best photos to enter into the conest. The Grove was chosen for its history and architecture. Photos are uploaded and winners are chosen.
Its a social gathering where the photographers all have one large dinner together at the end of their photo session. Thousands of people participate in over 200 cities world-wide.
The photographers enjoyed the Mayfair architecture, the people watching at CocoWalk, the waterfront and of course the block party on Commodore Plaza.
Ana Adams has a couple of examples of what she shot on her blog here.
