Two Grovites performing acoustically tonight at Berrie's

Zip Robertson (left) and Eric Wagner (right) will have an acoustic peformance at Berrie's (2884 SW 27 Avenue) tonight, June 16, from 7 to 11 pm.

Zip is a Grove-based singer-songwriter-guitarist-harmonicist and he isn't bad at painting coconuts, he was doing that on Saturday at the gallery (for the coconut hunt coming up).Zip is a member of the Walking Catfish, Valerie Wisecracker's back-up band and can be found performing at local venues including John Martin's, Pommes and Pane, the Lunar Star and The Barnacle.

Eric is a Coconut Grove-based singer-songwriter-guitarist specializing in American Folk Blues. Eric is one-third of Blue Man Grove and one-half of Tar & Feather, and can be found performing at local venues including Tobacco Road, the Barnacle, Fairchild Garden, and the Coconut Grove Sailing Club.

Thanks for the heads-up on the dynamic duo. Read your blog, saw they were playing and rode my bike over. had never heard them play, it was a very nice mellow Tuesday eve vibe.
