Chicago's Bakery and Deli has a very northern feel

The New Chicago's Bakery and Deli opened today. The people there are really nice. The place feels very northern, it reminds me of New York or Boston, but of course the inspiration is Chicago.

From the Bakery they offer Signature Desserts:
Keys Style Key Lime Pie, Dulce De Leche Cheesecake, Peanut Butter Cream Fudge Torte, Cappuccino Hazelnut Cheesecake and Raspberry Black and White Cheesecake all for $6.00. This is just a fraction of what is offered.

Coffees consist of:
Espresso: $2.00; Latte available in flavors: $3.00; Mocha: $3.00 and of course everything you would expect from the coffee area.

The area I like is their deli offerings. I like having these options for lunch. This is just a tiny sampling, their menu is much larger:

The Chicago Dog - classic hot dog with mustard, onions, tomatoes, pickle spear, sport peppers, relish and celery salt on a poppy seed bun: $5.00

Da Bear - Roasted turkey, ham, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato with spicy mayo: $6.00

Harry Carey - Roasted turkey, bacon, gouda, lettuce and tomato: $7.00

Comisky Park - Freshly roasted beef, bleu cheese, lettuce, tomato: $7.00

Wrigley Fielder - Freshly roasted beef, turkey, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, spicy mustard: $7.00

Oprah is honored with a sandwich - Chicken or Tuna Salad, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers: $7.00

There is the Rush Street, the Ditka, the Al Capone, they have salads and sides like cole slaw, macaroni and potato salad.

Check out Chicago's at 3162 Commodore Plaza. They may be reached at 305-774-9981.

Just went by and got a couple of Croissants. Very nice friendly staff, Bagels!!! Coffees, lattes, Chicago Dogs...a nice and welcomed addition to the Grove... I hope they make it, as they are right across the street from our office.

Hope the Chicago dogs are vienna all-beefs...Dinner on a Bun. Wonder if they will have Italian Beef Sandwiches. I grew up on 71st and Ashland, south-side Italians!

I like the scooter delivery, I am sure someone needs the job!

I went there today for lunch and had the hotdog... the chili pepper got me by surprise but I really like the place (and the dog)... I might actually get something from the bakery next... it is very tempting!

I might also ad that even though the staff is in training, they are very nice and do a great job making sure you get exactly what you want.

They have little menus right inside the door you can pick up, I brought some to celestial treasures for everyone there.

Hi,
I went there yesterday with my good friend. I Enjoyed the Chicago Dog. It was great! It was the first time I tried a Chicago style hot dog. The pepper got me by surprise also. My friend ordered the Harry Carey. It is an enormous & tasty sandwich. He enjoyed it very much. We took home Chigago's version of the Ruben. Wow! Tender corned beef piled high on homemade rye with kraut, cheese and peppers. Enough for two people.
Will go there again soon.

Don't forget the coconut macadamia cookies yum!
