I recently happened to run into an exec at FP&L and casually asked him about this issue. He said without further provocation that they know there's no way that plan will happen and that there's already an alternate plan in existence with the thing runnin out by mt. trashmore and somewhat near the turnpike for a most of it's Southernly portion. Apparently, this proposed thing by US 1, is intended to ruffle feathers, so that when they offer the other route, they get it no problem.

It's an old con, but it still works.

Is Coconut Grove considered a municipality? If it is who are the officials to contact for such issues?

Anon 4:27,
If you are not sure whether Coconut Grove is a municipality, it would probably be best if you didn't contact any officials.
