Reiki 1 workshop and Rising Star workshop planned

Atena Komar will be teaching a Reiki 1 certification workshop on Sunday, April 19.

The $180.00 Reiki 1 workshop will be held at Blu Moon Studio (3444 Main Highway), registration is required, and you may register by calling 305-297-5516 or visiting
http://MysticalFlorida.com.

Atena's teacher, Elka Boren had a workshop which helped Atena overcome some obstacles in life. She will pass on to you the beautiful and powerful healing modality called Rising Star. "Since I need to practice, I am offering you the healing sessions for only $80 each (the rules say I can't give it away, not even to a spouse!). When it becomes more in demand I will offer the healing at a much higher price, but for now, I think this will work for you and for me," said Atena.

Your session is done via distance she is currently not offering sessions in person. Details are available at her website here.

If I were dying, could you heal me, save me? What about one of my children, can you save lives? And if so could you give me the next 6 lottery numbers?

Yo can buy reiki river rock at home depot for $6/bag.

Seriously though, someone has to have rocks in his head to fall for this hokey, hippie bs.

yeah, yeah, people are free to believe whatever they want, but you spend your money on this and you deserve to lose it!

This is the sort of mystic claptrap that contributes to the Grove not being taken seriously by the adults who actually run things.

Atena is one of the Grove characters that makes the Grove the Grove. I like it. Just as much as I like the 80 cents guy and Ellen, the town clairvoyant.

Reiki does help some people, but not everyone is open to it, just like any spiritual path.

I can respect those who believe different than me but I do not understand why some people find the need to attack the practice without actually researching the subject first.

Reiki has undergone extensive scientific study and is widely practiced in hospitals, healing centers and massage centers around the country and the world.

Bottom line is, there are thousands of people whom it helps, it is not a magical cure, it does still require you to do the work of healing on body, mind and soul levels but it has made the path easier for many.

Yes it has helped many survive terminal illness, however, the process is much deeper than any single healing modality can accommodate.

One account I can personally report is with my mother-in-law who survived comfortably pancreatic cancer for over a year and a half after being given only three weeks to live by the doctors. They could not explain why the disease went in to remission. She did finally pass, which we all will one day do, but she lived the best year of her life and was at peace before this happened.

Love and Light,

Atena :)
p.s.
Thank you Tom for your kind words in my defence.

Healers my a--. Nature, evolution, hundreds and hundreds of thousands of years have given rise to my body healing itself just as long as I don't eat junk food, drink clean water and get reasonable exercise and don't get fat. People who get between other people and their religion or nature doing it's job have their hand out. I am not referring to trained, qualified MD's or medicines that help. A doctor accomplished a radio frequency abalation on my heart and I take medicine, but without my good DNA, modest workouts, good food and clean water no doctor in the world could extend my life to far----these people mentioned in this article are quacks.

Health is not just about your body... we are not meat suits, we are whole beings comprised of body, mind and spirit. It is beyond me that you can see the physical maintenance needs (water, food, shelter) and be completely oblivious to your spiritual maintenance needs (inspiration, harmony, love).

It is sad that close-minded people that hide behind the anonymity of the internet will not understand this and never enjoy the deeper gifts of spiritual nurturing.

Sadder still is that you are too busy dispensing your animosity to ever witness the miracles that are so common to the rest of us.

You have my sympathy and compassion.

Don't need your compassion, inspiration, harmony & love are all a part of the meat package that requires good food, clean water and exercise. You dumb stupid ignorant person to think that somehow I had left out of the equation LOVE. Try love without food or water. The meat package includes the brain and the brain therefore includes inspiration, harmony & love. Good DNA translates water & food into a healthy capable individual. Crap in one hand and pray in the other and see which one fills up first!

Snake oil salesman comes to mind.
Reiki, lets see, From Wikipedia and I quote "There is no generally accepted scientific evidence for either the existence of Ki or any mechanism for its manipulation, and a systematic review of randomized clinical trials conducted in 2008 did not support the efficacy of reiki or its recommendation for use in the treatment of any condition". Isn't the London bridge for sale. Can you imagine taking money from any human who is actually sick and in need of help and all you do is place your hands on them and expect to be paid! What utter stupidity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you say then close down all spiritual centers, burn down churches and silence all the spiritual leaders... while we are at it, lets also get rid of all counselors, therapist and social workers - remove hope and inspiration - if one non-physical belief has no place in the world, why should any?

Where in this long post have stated that Reiki is the all sustainable substance of life?

I was merely trying to offer the notion that you are not all-knowing and you should allow people to follow their own beliefs without having to suffer abuse from the likes of you... this is waste of time someone as hateful and ignorant such as yourself.

Energy work and spiritual healing works for me, and works for my clients weather you think it is real or not.

Unlike you, I am not in the business of converting anyone to my beliefs.

You say "She lived the best year of her life after being diagnosed with a death sentence". You imply that I stated I was all knowing. You say I am hateful & ignorant. You say I am trying to convert. You say I have abused you. You say I would close down all spritial centers. The only inflection I inferred was "QUACK", where did you get all this other crap from, oops, sorry, from some spirit, right? You and Bernie Madoff would have a lot in common. You get just one person to appear on the Grape using their name and leave a phone number, just one person who can demonstrate or prove or slightly indicated they were somehow healed by the likes of you and I will give you $2,500.00 U.S. dollars cash. Forget about the $180.00, per session, this is the big time.

When you say massage, do you mean massage or do you mean massage? I can get a very good massage at about 8th street and 47th for about $45.00. Oh, I see, they pay more in the Grove, is that it?

It's always sad, and I mean really, really bad sad, when you hear of someone who lived the best year(s), month(s) day(s) of their lives after being diagnosed with some deadly disease. I've made it a point in my life to get next to aged people, people, say over about 80, I'm a youthful 60 or so, and I have asked well over, say 50 or so individuals about this age, what is it that they think is important so I could glean some really important message, generally speaking, from their collective wisdom and learn something. I have been aware of my youth and my middle age and I have had an interesting life so far and I would damn my DNA if someone said about me that I lived the best year of my life after being diagnosed with some terminal disease as if I were so stupid as to allow this to happen. Such stupid rhetoric as reiki from anyone including those who talk of things unproven, unseen and frankly stupid to the senses that have evolved and given rise to humankind have caused many a war and killed many people over the history of mankind. Don't try your crap on me!

Anon 2:18, I agree to a degree; it's like never saying a word of support for Mother's Against Drunk Drivers until a loved one is run over by some drunk and then you pick up the banner and run with it.

Are you suggesting it's more important to direct one's energy towards living the good life, eating the right foods and hope for DNA advantages rather than wait for the likes of demagogues to place their hands on you and claim some for of devine intervention for a fee?
