P.J. themed Bed Race is planned for end of May
The The Great Grove Bed Race is on Commodore Plaza (May 31) and so far the rules are: four people push the beds and one person is on the bed. There will also be a form (not ready yet) that needs to be filled out to participate. While I know there are those of you who don't like forms or rules, this will have forms and rules.
The last race, a few years back, did not allow a person to be on the bed and it was just a sack of something -- I think mulch, to weigh down the beds.
But many feel that that killed the race and a real person is needed on the bed. So that will be the case this year.
The night before, the whole Grove will be involved in a pajama party/ball sort of thing. This is for adults and the next morning, before the race, on Sunday, there will be a children's pajama party. And the whole day will be themed around the Bed Race.
