Bad location; tough to park and run in and get something. They should be at the end of Commodore across from post office where that salon is that has a little parking. In fact that is one of the best locations in the Grove and no one ever puts anything worthwhile in there.

When I was a kid, that was a bookstore or grocery store or something at the end of Commodore for years.

I second the previous comment about bad location. The parking there is next to impossible and what makes it worse is being situated in the middle of the other shops. You drive past the shop before you know it and drivers don't notice the small storefront. Seems like a really rough location to make a go of it.
Oh, by the way, the 'gourmet' store that used to be on Commodore was Berts. Now that was a GREAT store!

We used to have the Coconut Grove Pharmacy at that corner of McFarlane and Main and they had a soda fountain and booths and the best hot fudge sundaes.

As the owners of this business we certainly welcome all feedback. We will try to indicate to people where to park behind the bulding and validate parking for people spending more than a certain amount. The gourmet market will be called "Le Petit Gourmand", and there will be a wine bar on the second floor called "The Cherry on Top". Please check us out at www.tcotmiami.com. We do hope to have somewht different fare than FreshMarket, both on the organic side (Chatham Sheepherding Company yogurts and cheeses for example) and on the gourmet side (a wide selection of caviar and fois fras).

See you there!

-Baruch.
