Going green with KB Green and Greenstreet Cafe
Speaking of antique cars, this is just the opposite -- something totally 21st Century -- Sylvano Bignon at Greenstreets, showed us this electric golf cart in the lot next door to the restaurant. I normally don't like golf carts, he knew that and joked with me about it. But this style is licensed and street legal. And since it is about driving green and we were at Greenstreets, well, what could I do but like it?
Here is a group of Grove characters, trying it out: AnnaMaria Windisch-Hunt, Richard Issa, Lilliana Dones and Sylvano Bignon. Richard makes a good car model, notice him holding the ad up for the golf carts?
KB Green offers these EZ-Go golf carts for sale or for lease. I liked them because we are looking for something like this to shuttle the travel agents who are coming to town for the travel Pow Wow in May.
For each cart sold, KB Green will donate a percentage to the “Plant a Billion Trees” organization created by The Nature Conservancy.
Also, for Earth Hour, on March 28, Greenstreets will turn the lights and music off for one hour and will have all drinks 50% off from 8.30 to 9.30, the Earth Hour time. They will also have an acoustic group performing.
The carts have a great warranty and all parts and replacement items are all local. For more info, their website is: www.kbgreen.com or you can call 305-365-3766 or email info@kbgreen.com

Does anyone know if Miami allows golf carts on public roads? Florida Statute 316.212?
