Vicious circle never ends
"Last year I had been having an ongoing problem with the Grove Post Office. They had been leaving my packages on the ground (during rainy season) and after many calls to the Grove Mail Supervisor, I decided the only way to get action was to report them to the Federal Post Office. What at joke! The Federal Office of USPS did nothing but forward my complaint to, guess who, the Coconut Grove Post Office. "

Cute! We had the same problem. I don't have any packages delivered to my house anymore. Once, my husband's birthday package from his parents in Germany never arrived (it may have been stolen after our mail carrier just threw it over the gate as that had been done in the past). Another time our Christmas package from Germany, which had a bunch of chocolate in it, was thrown over the gate where it sat in the sun, melted, and had attracted ants by the time we found it. If you go back to complain again, feel free to give them my name and let them know what I said here.
I have had a similar problem, only mine is any address that has a matching number, is in my box, not the same street. So I often wonder, who is getting my mail, and are they being as courteous and forwarding it, or as in my case walking it to their box and delivering it for the PO. SO I keep thinking where is my paycheck? I'm doing someone else's work. Whenever I have reported it to the PO, they shrug their shoulders and say, "that's not right". Well duh? Why do they think I was complaining.
I have to be honest, I try to have all my mail delivered by USPS BECAUSE they will actually leave it at my door. UPS does sometimes too, but FedEx is absolutely impossible, and neither of them leave good notices that attempts were made (I've had packages returned to sender too many times). I'm not shipping perishables, and I guess my doorstep is pretty safe and covered, so it's actually a huge benefit for me.
And yet, I would wager that a solid majority of Grovites would vote in favor of giving the federal government exclusive control over our health care.
It's scary, but true.
Well my mail carrier woman is nice and courteous. I generally dont have problems. Maybe you should talk directly with your carrier.
Like another anon my problem is fed ex. I have had to drive out west almost to the everglades to get packages from fed ex ground.
My note started this circle and I guess I should have added that I tried to talk to my carrier but unlike the person with the "nice woman", I have at least 4 carriers each week. So hmmmmm, how should I handle that? Wait out front every day? Sorry, but I have a life.
I must add that the UPS and Fed Ex delivery people on my street are FANTASTIC!! They get my packages inside my gate and are always pleasant.
