They don't like Eggs Benedict or Eggs Florentine
Just then three Sooner fans walked up (right). They were lost and wanted to know where the Denny's or IHOP was.

FIRST!!!
Well, That's what's wrong with people today. Nobody wants individual one-of-a-kind eateries. They just want the same 'ol things that are in every other city in the nation. Too bad.
The Grove could use an old-fashioned, 24-hour diner type of place. But Denny's? Ugh.
They were looking for a diner type place like Dennys or IHOP; perhaps maybe even to eat breakfast? Jaguar and Focaccia don't really fit the bill. Greenstreet comes closest but still, not everyone always wants to try someplace 'new' or 'local' especially if you don't know what you're getting or have a preconceived idea of what you want.
Oklahomans are not known for having a sophisticated palate.
Guys, give it a rest. People from the midwest dont eat at places like Foccacia and Greenstreets. Also, tourists tend to look for familiar sights when they travel. Ask Grape what the biggest draw here is and he'll tell you its Chili's...
They're from Oklahoma. What can you really expect. We'll see the Gator fans out tonight and this weekend in the grove for sure.
Sorry, but I have to add just one more thing. Blind Mind: What then is the point of travel for these people?
True story. I was doing the advertising for a cruise line, out on a fam cruise, and one morning was seated with a couple from the Midwest. Says he to his wife, "What's this eggs Benedict stuff?" Says his wife to him, "Don't worry, you'll love it. It's just like Egg McMuffin."
Anon - the point of travel for 'these people' is to go see their favorite college football team play in the big game. They dont go looking for a culinary tour of Miami. The game tickets cost enough. Cheap beer and bar food is what theyre looking for.
Maybe the merchants could have an advertising campaign with some friendly slogan along the lines of "You can't handle our 'charming' village."
A big breakfast in the Grove at an affordable price? Not since Lums. Yeah, those were the days. Affordable food and free parking.
Oh, and I bet they have dishes in Oklahoma that people in the Grove never heard of.
Ah, the Miamitude shines through once again. Pretty disparaging of the rest of the US. I'm a Midwest transplant, I loathe Denny's, and always look in the Grove-style areas for unique restaurants in the cities I visit. My Midwest family and friends do the same. But they can detect superciliousness. Perhaps the Sooners fans had their fill.
