Lots going on at tonight's art opening
The Windisch-Hunt Gallery (2911 Grand Avenue) is presenting the Ransom Everglades students' art, who are part of the Upper School Advanced Studio Honors class. They have reproduced famous art pieces with the project called "Does Gertrude Stein have the time?" The opening reception is tonight from 7 to 9 pm.
You can probably make out some famous take offs here. The art is really great to see in person. The students did an excellent job. They are thrilled to be in a real gallery. AnnaMaria tells me they walk in one at a time, nonchalantly, checking the installation, all excited for tonight's opening.
Along with this, the Grove core artists are also being shown: Tom Virgin, Jeffrey Passage, Jane Harris, Bettyann Pober, Linda Apriletti, Karen Deilke, Yana Bem, Hans Feyerabend, Charles Corda and Fred Hunt. Also works by Tony Scornavacca are on display and for sale.
