And so the holidays fade into the sunset
Holiday weeks always seem to bring the crowds out to the Grove.
Christmas week, Easter, spring break, Fourth of July -- people start coming out a day or two before and stay a day or two after. It's nice to see so many visitors around. I think this is when the Grove needs to market other events like the Art Stroll and such.
I had a lady email me. She wanted info on the Taste of the Grove, she said she couldn't find anything on the Chamber website or the BID website.
I asked what it was she needed to know -- it's most of the Grove restaurants set up in Peacock Park, offering food and drink, while jazz plays in the background.
She wanted more -- a list of the restaurants and the food being served to send to friends interested in the event who don't live in the area. She said, even a simple flyer or hand out would help.
This would have been a good week to hand out flyers for the Taste of the Grove. All those people around town may see the banners hanging around town, but a hand-out might have been a good idea with a list of restaurants, prices and times. Even a list of the contest categories would be interesting.

I've seen yellow Taste posters on store windows and there are palm cards being distributed. Go by the Chamber office and pick up a handful and maybe you could help distribute them.
