Many people want to work at Crazy Pianos it seems

I don't know why, but I have received dozens of job applications today for the new Crazy Pianos, which is opening at CocoWalk in February, according to one staff member. (Felice, I guess the scaffolding will be there for awhile).

The emails have photos of the applicants and they say they saw the ad on Craigslist. Talk about Crazy, the name fits.

I called up Crazy Pianos and got the chef, Peter. He says he'll look into it.

The weird part is that all the applicants are from far away like Argentina and Mexico and places like that. Let's hire local people Crazy Pianos! And what's up with the photos? Is it legal to ask for photos of the men and women applying?

I should post some of them here and we can vote on them, but I won't.

I looked into applying but decided against it when I read the part to send a head shot with your resume just for principal of it. This company is from out of the country- don't know if it's legal there!

The Delano Hotel did the same thing when they first opened.
They wound up with some very pretty
Moron's that didn't care very much about the hotel business and it showed!

There are many scams on Craig's List. We're getting reports of agent's listings being posted with someone else's contact information. When someone calls about the listing, they are asked for their financial information, bank accounts, social security number, etc. "so that we can check to see if you can qualify to buy this house."

Cabana One did the same thing, asking for photos. I'm not down on any Grove establishment, but I did send them a nice note pointing out that asking for a photo was wrong, as was asking for only females.

Truthfully, as someone who's been a bartender and a manager, I thought I would have at least gotten a call back, but I guess I wasn't cute enough. (It was resume then letter, btw.)

Maybe they are trying to weed out any employees smart enough to know their rights or the law.

Hey Anon @6:42 I got your morons right here! Unless you were one of those pretty boys or girls that was hired by the Delano and had no experience in the hotel business back when they first opened and you were offended by my remark why would you be so offensive? Since your so smart and so bored I purpously made about 20 spelling/grammar mistakes in my responccce to keep you busy for a while. happy New Year Weisenheimer

What is wrong with asking for a head shot with your resume? I would ask all available information including background check and drug test.

Hope they hire a lot of local talent that fits their type of business.

Good luck to all of you that do not have a problem sending in a head shot........
