If only they were trees
Message received. Guess they don't want you to enter the new parking lot at the post office these days. Actually, it just looks like that because the signs are confusing. Some feel that there are too many signs at the new post office lot on Grand Avenue.
There is a call for a new meeting with Congresswoman Illeana Ros-Lehtinen, you'll remember she was instrumental in getting the post office lot fixed staring with the meeting last June. Many want more trees and less signs.

I think there is a bigger issue than just planting more trees. What about the fact that regular people can't even park in here? It's only authorized vehicles. Why didn't we just leave the parking lot as it was so that anyone can use it?
that's what I'm confused about....
It looks like a sign garden.
And why do we have to park our cars and walk to the mailboxes at night. They used to have a drive through.
And yes why did they take away evening parking!
Regular people can park there but you have to make a quick left as soon as you turn into the entrance. It is very confusing, and I ended up parking in the "Authorized Vehicles Only" section because I couldn't figure out the whole system until I was out of my car. There is also a mail drop box, but you can barely figure out how to get in there.
The Coconut Grove Grapevine Exposes on the waterfront plan, parking tickets, tour bus parking sign, post office signs and lack of trees, merchants being harassed by police and code enforcement are brilliant. The Grapevine is truly the eyes, ears, voice and heart of Coconut Grove. All of us that live and work in the Grove greatly appreciate your efforts to showcase our village’s positives and shine a light on our negatives, in an effort to improve them. The company that makes the signs for the post office is apparently hedging its bets by producing greater quantities and therefore is not too affected by the recession. There are way too many sign and they are much too tall. One or two on a fence could do the job. My favorite sign in the post office parking lot is the Stop sign located in the area near the KWIKI Mart fence which is a dead-end.

It's visual pollution in a car-razy world. They paved paradise to put up a parking lot.
