The Grove is very enchanting at night
The Grove comes alive at night around the holidays. If you haven't been out this season, this week is a good time to check things out.
The Angel is out, the Hare Krishnas are going from store to store, blessing them. The musicians and barber shop quartet and carolers hit the streets before dusk. The restaurants are full.
Everything is lit up and cheerful.

The calm before the storm. Just watch Code Enforcment move in and ruin all the fun. Bastards.
funny....I was just about to say that.
Why do you just keep taking pictures of CocoWalk - the Mayfair is one of the prettiest buildings in town, and Commodore - get Greenstreets, LePetit, Cita's, George's, Christabelle's, Akashi, Jaguar's, SammyC's terrace, Main Hwy, (skip the post office - too many signs).
I'm old enough to remember the Grove from way back...before there was Mayfair and it was a real event to go there. I remember in particular a nice restaurant, I believe the name was The Country Store, that stood where the Mayfair is now. Good old times, but nothing stays the same.
The Country Store..... and the Adams Apple on Commodore were jewels in this town. Another great store that is missed - American Details on Grand next to Coconut Grove Cleaners with incredible jewelry and works of art.
