Waterfront Advisory Board at odds over Grove Harbour

At tonight's Watefront Advisory Board meeting, Jack King, member of the Board, felt that the Waterfront Masterplan is changing too much and that phases can change order, but the plans should not. He called it "cherry picking" and he was concerned about the Grove Harbour Marina project and wanted to know exactly what is being done and why did it all come up out of the blue.

He was quite upset about historical buildings being torn down (I think he was referring to the current dockmaster's office). Board chairman, Stuart Sorg said he was ready to tear the old thing down now, which got Jack pretty upset. Jack said if that was the case he would come and tear Stuart's house down next since he didn't care about historical buildings in Miami. Then Jack stormed off the dais.

The Waterfront Masterplan Implementation Committee meets at 5:30 pm on December 10 in the staff room, right behind the City Hall Chambers (3500 Pan American Drive).

This guy Stuart Sorg is such a clown! a clearly biased robot with some personal agenda. The guy just kept saying that Sarnoff now supports the infamous Harbor Marina Office building "with changes" or some obscure "modifications"

This Sorg character had absolutely no Clue as to what those "secret" modifications would be, when asked point-blank on repeated occasions.
Not a clue.

Another shady, secret agenda by the City of Miami, against every interest of Cocoanut Grove, in total violation of the Water front Master plan, which clearly specifies no concrete buildings withing 50 feet from the Water, much less a massive 22,000 square feet Office building just 22ft away from the bay, for the exclusive boaters to throw their parties.

Then they went on to talk about some ridiculous name for the area from Monty's to Sailor's Club, "Sea Plane Harbor",go figure..

Jack King, the guy on the red shirt with a cap was GREAT, challenging this Sorg clown every time, the man was a riot.. reruns on channel 77

How Sorg gets appointed Chair I will never understand unless no one else wants the job. If that is the case let's get same new members on that Board that will step up to the plate. Maybe some new members that just care about the waterfront and HAVE NO AGENDA!
