The film "The Orange Bowl Stadium, Remembering 70 years of Greatness," premiered last night at City Hall. It's a documentary by filmmaker Carl Kesser chronicling the Orange Bowl's 70 plus years.
In attendance at the first screening were Senator Bob Graham and wife Adele, along with ex-Dolphins, Jim Mandich, Dick Anderson, and Larry Little; also in attendance were Sue McConnell, Ron Nelson, Harry Emilio Gottlieb, Arva Moore Parks, Historian Paul George, and members of the Orange Bowl Committee including legendary Ernie Seiler, former Executive Director of the Orange Bowl.
Hopefully there will be a second screening soon. The film is destined for various film festivals as well as television, maybe the History Channel or ESPN. It's a real treat for anyone who has attended games at the Orange Bowl. The film would make a great stocking stuffer, it may be purchased here: http://www.leadingvideo.com/ for only $14.95.
After the film, many locals went next door to Scotty's Landing for dinner and drinks.

It just breaks my heart to see these old landmarks demolished. I am glad they plan to save Marine Stadium. We ought to fight to keep every historical landmark we have - this City wastes so much money on other things, it ought to to whatever it takes to preserve our history.
Last Friday November 7th was a perfect event for me. Premiering our documentary film "The Orange Bowl Stadium, Remembering 70 years of Greatness" in Miami City Hall had a lot of importance to me. First, my Grandfather-in-law (EX) built the building for Pam American. Second, the destiny of the Orange Bowl was ALWAYS determined in those chambers, so it was the perfect place to present it. We are trying to roll it out the DVD soon and plan on selling it at Publix before Xmas for $14.95, which will make it a great stocking stuffer. Also, it is for sale on Leadingvideo.com. I have also secured all TV Licensing agreements for future broadcasting. - Carl Kesser
I went to the premiere screening of The Orange Bowl Stadium documentary and was touched. I miss this "grand ole stadium", and am "sad to see it go". This film and all those involved, including Carl Kesser and Accord Productions, are certainly responsible for keeping the memory of this stadium alive for all the generations to come. I purchased a copy of the film at www.leadingvideo.com and have watched again with friends who attended University of Miami with me. We all just loved the film. Thank you.
